When Clara is not wrangling her two small humans, she sews and draws and make things! Her sweet Mom taught her how to embroider, and while she claims that her hand work will never be quite as delicate and perfect as Mom’s, she certainly enjoys making little embroidered ornaments and other plushie delights for the holidays. After posting the most adorable photo of her daughter with handmade, JPD-inspired, plushie black cat, and wearing a coordinating print from Johanna’s Spoonflower shop,…. well a creative match was made! Check out her items in the “Ready Made Goods” section above!

In addition to her plushies and such, Clara is now offering downloadable embroidery patterns for those that play with needles and love to stitch!  Her instant digital files are multi-page PDFs that include step by step instructions, detailed close-ups, floss color suggestions and various versions of her illustrations, inspired by Johanna’s classic characters. It’s as simple as tracing her patterns and following along to achieve a similar result. Or, use her templates as a guide, and add your own colors and artistic expression. Keep an eye out for Clara & Johanna’s Halloween embroidery patterns, soon to follow… Happy stitching!
