A sampling of Johanna's patterns for various surface design applications
With a background in illustration and graphic design, it's only natural for Johanna to extend beyond her love for sculpture to surface design. In fact, Johanna was drawing and painting patterns and compositions well before she dabbled in the papier mache. More recently, Johanna has been developing her whimsical floral doodles and holiday character sketches into pattern repeats for a medley of applications. In fact, a growing number of her patterns can now be found in her new Spoonflower Shop where crafters can order her illustrations on fabrics, gift wrap and wallpaper which Johanna hopes will inspire lots of creativity.
