Kara McDaniel is a self taught graphic artist, maker, crafty gal and lover of all things vintage!  In between raising 3 small kids, she designs and makes all her items in her home studio. She loves to add lots of color and whimsy to her creations and collects vintage ephemera which often becomes collage elements in her graphic designs. Halloween and Christmas are Kara’s absolute favorite holidays, and Johanna Parker characters help to make her home more festive.

Capturing the opportunity to share her skills and handmade products with JPD, Kara reached out to Johanna. Within days, they were collaborating on a series of designs, often mixing Kara’s collage elements and pattern designs with Johanna’s iconic characters. Samples were sent, and just in time for the holidays! The results are a medley of both decorative and functional products that have the JP’s excited for the possibilities…

PERSONALIZATION is a unique feature that Kara offers with her custom products! Family names or sentimental words can replace the standard messaging upon request. With this feature, Kara and Johanna are able to fulfill a special vision. Large fabric banners with pom pom trims, garden flags, and even absorbent serving mats can be ordered with a personalized touch.
