So, when one of her favorite designers, Johanna Parker, expressed interest in collaborating with her, she was absolutley thrilled! Johanna’s surface pattern designs pair perfectly with the Dolly Valentine style, as Beth specializes in working with fabrics that have a cute vintage vibe with a little dose of spooky, too!
It was love at first sight when Dolly Valentine tagged Johanna in a Halloween Valentine post on social media! The vintage retro vibes of Beth’s style and brand, expressed through handmade pouches, coin purses and heart shaped handbags featuring Johanna’s fabric designs were a marvelous treat to see! Johanna was drawn to Beth’s pairing of patterns and the medley of playful details from silver star zipper pulls and matching feet, trimmed zipper flaps and coordinating pocket accents to Dolly Valentine’s sweet emblem and tag branding. The two continued to stay in touch, and once the stars aligned, a match was made! When Johanna received a set of JPD-inspired Dolly Valentine Luna Loves Stars & Harlequin themed samples, Johanna was over the moon! And, as Beth absolutely loves making bags with Johanna’s fabric designs, this collaboration is simply a match made in heaven!
Dolly Valentine collaborative items are sourced from custom fabrics that are designed and made in the USA! While Beth’s production times may take a few weeks, her collectible bags are worth the wait! Johanna designed this Spooky Luna Night Garden scene, specifically with Dolly Valentine’s Eveyln Bag in mind. The meticulous layout was worth the effort as it fits beautifully within the bounds of the shape. Side panels of coordinating fabric in hues of turquoise, frame this whimsical scene.
A closer look at Dolly Valentine’s JPD-inspired Halloween Libby bag reveals Johanna’s Wild Bats fabric on black as a top zipper accent to coordinate with Johanna’s classic Black Cats & Jacks harlequin print. Beth designs and buildsthese beautiful bags from scratch, and in this case, chose a vintage orange glittered vinyl for the handle straps.
Zip open the back pocket of the Spooky Luna Night Evelyn Bag to find a chalky retro style diamond patten that Johanna designed to coordinate with the focal artwork. Beth extends the playful diamond motif to line the main interior as well. Boootfiful!
