Otherwise, I have been working on new hats for this year's Halloween orginals. You can peek at those on my BLOG! Looks like I have lots more to do though in order to prepare for fall's show season, so I'm off to the workshop! Thanks for stopping by :)

6-30-10 Reminder to all of you Halloween collectors... The EHAG Emporium opens once again tonight at 9pm EST. I will have an original piece to offer there and an additional one of a kind on my BLOG. Please check back this evening to see all the latest treasures!
6-15-10 ATTENTION: For all my collector friends making their plans for fall, please note that the 5th Annual Halloween Trunk Show in Denver has been bumped forward one weekend! The new show date is September 11th....same place, same time otherwise. I apologize if this change complicates your schedule ~ a conflict arose with the original date that could not be resolved without moving the event to an earlier date. Please tell your friends of the date change, and mark your calendars. We hope to still see you there!
6-9-10 My RHYME TIME ORIGINAL #2 just listed on eBay last night! Take a peek at "Bizarro the Bat" and click on his image below to find out just why he is so bizarre! :) Thank you all for your interest and best of luck!
6-1-10 My my, can you believe it's June already?! Where does the time go? In just a few months it will be time once again for our 5th Annual Denver Halloween Trunk Show. I just updated this show page with the new date and times. For anyone planning on traveling to Colorado this year, I suggest you adding this stop to your itinerary! It's an initimate show held in a garage of all places, and offers a fun array of Halloween delights. I always stock my booth with both my signed Halloween reproductions and a collection of one of a kind originals. The 2nd weekend of September is a lovely time of year in Colorado, so I hope you consider a visit!
Also, many thanks goes out to those loyal collectors of mine who were excited to see what I had created for the EHAG Emporium Opening! I appreciate all of you who made an attempt to adopt an original, and only wish I had more to offer. If it was challenging to view my offerings on my blog, I apologize. There was some sort of technical glitch going on with Blogger, and I only wish I could have resolved that issue when the sale started. Darn techology!... Well, my witch and cat did find homes, and I'm thinking I better go sculpt some more :) Have a nice week!
5-31-10 I hope everyone is enjoying Memorial Day! Luckily, the sun is shining here in Colorado, and JP and I are getting caught up on a little house TLC, painting window trim in the shade.
It's also the last day of the month, and that means that the EHAG Emporium will be opening again this evening at 9pm EST. If you have a moment, please stop by to peruse the latest one of a kind Halloween folk art originals available from a variety of our EHAG artists. Again, I will have 2 originals to offer, and both will be pictured with details and extra views on my BLOG! See you there :)
5-25-10 The July issue of Country Sampler Magazine just came out, and they are offering a fun Giveaway, featuring my products! Wow, on another note, I was blown away by the positive response to my first "Rhyme Time Original" on eBay! I am so pleased that you enjoyed both this sweet owl character and his matching rhyme. Needless to say, I should probably continue this series. Stay tuned for another one of a kind with a special rhyme. :)
And, mark you calendars for EHAG Emporium's May 31st Opening at 9pm EST. I will have an original up for adoption and hopefully another available on my blog. Wish me luck as the date is fast approaching!
5-18-10 I dreamt up a new series of originals today as I was creating an auction page for "Owlexander Web." I'm calling them "Rhyme Time Originals" because a whimsical rhyme will accompany each of these pieces. Since I enjoy writing poetry to express the whimsical nature of each character I make, I thought it would be an extra treat to receive a poem to match! So, this limited series of one of a kinds will be exclusive to eBay and will pop up when time permits. First off is this sweet owl, "Owlexander Web!" Please click on his image to visit his auction page and read the poem included with the piece! Thank you for stopping by and for your generous bids :)

5-15-10 For those of you looking for a unique way to bring hints of the garden into your home this spring, take a look at my current blog post: The Art of the Garden Indoors. Perhaps I am a little unusual, shall we say, for collecting rusty old garden tools, but I think my new use for these is certainly interesting and fun! So, enjoy, and please leave a comment if you have something similar to share, etc etc...
And speaking of the garden, I wanted to thank all the collectors who graciously placed bids on my spider candy cup auction! I am was so pleased to see that despite the creepy crawly character these insects are known for, you still approved of my more whimsical interpretation! So, thank you so very much for your interest. I guess I will have to make more!
5-2-10 The month of May is here, and that welcomes in the commencement of EHAG's Black & White Fright Challenge! During the course of this first week, you will be delighted by the various Halloween art offerings from our group. Stop in for a visit at EHAG's Blog where we will continue to update these B&W-themed creations throughout the week! Tonight, I will be posting my contribution, a frightfully-fun folk art spider candy cup! He's a first for me, so take a peek when his auction page starts!
4-22-10 Well, I have confirmed all the dates for this year's events I will be exhibiting in. You can visit my Schedule page to take a closer look and mark your calendars. Rumor has it that this may be the last year for Denver's Gifts for Yule as the beautiful Phipp's Pavilion that we all set up shop in, is being sold. The show will go on as scheduled for this winter, but anything beyond 2010 is unclear at this time. So, save the date even though it's months out, as this may be the last hurrah for GFY..... . .
Yesterday, I sneaked in a Collector's Catch piece. Those of you who follow my blog may find it fun to read my last few posts and see how the wire wings I made a couple of weeks ago became the main attraction for this latest folk art bat. If you are curious about Collector's Catch, please visit my blog for details.
On a more serious note, today is Earth Day, and well, I really think every day should be Earth Day. But perhaps we need a special day to remind us to reflect on our relationship with this beautiful planet we live on. Take time to smell those flowers, revel in their beauty and appreciate all the living creatures that we share this world with. Avoid the use of poisons applied to our natural world and tell others to do the same for inevitably, it all transfers back to us through the cycle of life. If we all take steps to care for and appreciate nature, while teaching others to be more mindful of mother earth, perhaps we can find a better balance and reverse some of the damage that has been done. I am still learning and trying to erase bad habits. Awareness is key...
4-16-10 Today, I decided to reveal my works in progress! In my Blog Post appropriately titled, "Exposed," I offer a peek at some of my current papier mache folk art figures in their various stages of development. If you follow my work or perhaps collect the finished pieces, you might enjoy this glimpse in the making of my work. And while you're there, scroll down and visit my "Wired" post too!
I know I haven't been offering too many originals as of late as I am really trying to get a bit ahead this year. I've learned the hard way from year's past that waiting to build my fall collections right before fall can be a rather stressful sequence for me. So, if I start to stockpile now, I might have one or two moments to put my feet up later. But knowing me, it's highly unlikely.... Oh well........
And one more thing to take note of is that EHAG is hosting our first Black & White Fright! The fun starts May 1st and continues into that week. For those artists participating, you will have the opportunity of seeing and adopting one of a kind Halloween art in our bold theme of black and white. For more details, please visit EHAG's Blog at www.EHAGart.blogspot.com. I suggest you follow our blog to stay in the loop! Now, I have the difficult task of deciding which naked sculpture will become my Black & White Fright piece... hmmmmm??
4-3-10 It's Easter weekend, and of course another excuse to dress our dear Jack up in festive holiday attire. I just finished taking his photo, and this time he dons a handmade spring hat and a stitched, ruffled collar. You can see my favorite photos of Jack's Easter fashions on my blog! Please leave him a comment if he makes you smile! Thanks and Happy Easter to you!
4-1-10 Happy April to you! It's a new month arleady! With spring in the air, I was inspired to snap a few photos of my sweet standing birds on our living room mantel. Fly with me on over to my Blog for a quick peek! Also, I wanted to thank those of you who promptly saved the date and time for EHAG Emporium's March opening last night. Thanks goes out to those who adopted one of kind creations and for those who attempted to. Sooner than later I would love to have a web sale and be able to offer a collection of delights. So,wish me luck!
With April here and the days warming up, my husband and I are starting on an endless list of long-overdue home improvement projects. I will try my very best to juggle my art along with ALL the things we want to accomplish and do to our 70 year-old home and yard. In the end, I should have a larger studio space, so that will help! I just have to get there :) Maybe I'll offer a few peeks on my blog along the way, so keep visting for little updates throughout the season.
Well, I better get busy! April is here, OH my!
3-28-10 For those a bit curious as to what I have been up to lately, you can peek at my latest blog post, "Halloween Tease." Designing products for the upcoming seasons and next year can certainly be a time-consuming process, but I am always excited to see them when they arrive! Six months to a year later, I have a little reunion with each design :)
For all of you Halloween collectors out there, don't forget that the 31st of the month is just around the corner, and that means that EHAG's Emporium will be updating with new original works of art available! Mark your calendars for 9pm EST on Wednesday, March 31st to view all of the latest goodies. I will be offering a collectible piece as well, so stay tuned.
And finally, after many years it seems, I updated my Links page to reflect the links of additional artist friends I have met via web or in person along the way. It's still in-the-works a bit, but at least it has been updated! I'm sure I probably missed a few, so please do not take offense. Hopefully, my next Links update will be more timely! Thanks for checking in, and don't forget that you are always welcome to join my e-mailing list for occasional updates on one of kind works, events and fun news! Simply click the arrow up top to send me a message!
3-20-10 Just added another lovely magazine to my "In Print!" sidebar list! This time, I have an original piece of whimsical crow art in the premier issue of Prims Magazine by Stampington & Company. They kindly invited me to submit a sculpture that in my eyes depicted Primitive Elegance. I enjoyed the challenge and even wrote a whimsical rhyme to go with my creation. To see a tad more, you can visit my BLOG, but to thoroughly enjoy this beautiful publication, please order your copy today!
3-11-10 Well, with St. Patrick's Day just around the corner, and the color green on my mind, I set out to create a "Lucky" leprechaun-style black cat with a hint of Halloween! Why not make a kettle cup I thought with that bulbous shape so reminiscent of the 'ol iconic pot of gold! What resulted was a sweet, elfin-like cat wearing a whimsical hat. Well, see below for a better visual, and click on his image to visit his eBay auction link! The bidding ends on Monday at 7pm PST, and best of luck to you! Thank you for your kind bids :)
3-7-10 As I wait for my papier mache to dry, I just finished making the graphics and posting a new Halloween Gallery page for you to enjoy! The images depict a small sampling of the one of a kind Halloween originals I created last year along with one from this year. All these fun characters have been adopted, but you can still enjoy them here!
2-22-10 Fun news! I received a couple of complimentary copies of the new March / April issue of Cooking with Paula Deen Magazine on Friday. Last year, they had expressed an interest in my Spring products, so I had a few samples sent to them. A year later and much to my surprise, there is a delightful photo on pg. 8 of Paula holding an Easter basket. Guess what's inside her basket? Yep, one of my spring designs! Right in the center is my spring chick glass jar, and they have it filled with iced cookies. Looks so cute! I am honored and happy they included a little piece of me in their spring publication! Make sure to look for your copy today! For a sneak peek, you can visit my BLOG and also click on the magazine thumbnail at left.
On another note, my website here and my business email account were down for over 24 hours this past weekend. I apologize if you attempted to visit or make contact. My website hosts's server had a hardware failure, and I could do nothing to help fix the matter. Luckily, we are back up and running, but I have a feeling that I may have lost some emails along the way. So, if I do not respond to your messages, please resend them. All is working again, much to my relief!.......
2-19-10 There are just two days left to place your generous bids and dontate to PFATT's Penny Feather Tree Charity Auction! Thirty-six women including myself have created one of a kind ornaments in hues of red to adorn this very special tree. My contribution is the sweet ladybug bell ornament pictured below. Please click on our auction LINK to see all the wonderful goodies that are included along with this beautiful golden tree. Every bid placed helps us to raise money to find a cure for those suffering from Leukemia & Lymphoma and to bring smiles to our dear PFATT sister Penny McAllister who is currently undergoing treatment. Please spread the word and consider donating with a loving bid today :) Thank you!
2-10-10 How about a little Spring with a Halloween twist?! This little black bunny candy egg cup was just born out of that very thought! I have been working on spring product designs this month, and yearned for a little orange and black. So, here ya go! He'e the first of his kind, and on eBay now. Click his image to see more photos and descriptions, and bid if you like!.... Many thanks :) Hop Hop hop along!
1-29-10 Just updated my Schedule Page with a list of the 2010 events I will be participating in! So yes, the news it out that I will be heading out east this October to exhibit with fellow Halloween artist friends in the spooktacular Ghoultide Gathering! I am looking forward to meeting many artists and collectors that I have only had the chance to chat with online, and of course reconnect with those that I have! If you can make it out to Northville, Michigan in early October, we would love to see you! Otherwise, I am still waiting on the official show dates for the two Denver events I participate in each year. And IF I decide to add one more show to my list of events, I will update my schedule page to reflect that. Please join my e-mailing list to keep in touch with my event schedule!

12-18-09 I just received a fun email from Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia congratulating all of their Doers of the Week for this year! "We have featured many movers and shakers during the past six months..." they proclaim, and fortunately, I was one of those honored as Martha's Doer! In celebration, they just posted a fun page showcasing the 19 Weekly "Doers" from this year! You can take a PEEK at all the talented women featured, and yes, I'm in the group! Again, what an honor :-) If you consider yourself a Doer, I would suggest joining Martha Stewarts' online community of Dreamers into Doers, and perhaps YOU will be in the spotlight too!

4-11-09 Well, tomorrow is Easter already, and in my world of holiday visions, the start of spring, the blooming of trees and flowers and dance of the birds signals me to board the Halloween train! Of course on Sunday, I will join in on the family festivities with a gratitude toward spring and the amazing cycle of life, but my imagination will be thinking ahead to the delights and happy-spirited imagery of Halloween. If I don't, I may regret it later!.... As a holiday artist, it's certainly not a perk to always be ahead about 6+ months into the year, as I would prefer to enjoy the moment. But, luckily for me, I do have a passion for Halloween, and look forward to creating new characters in that favored theme. So, wish me luck in keeping the balance between the now and the future!
In January, I sculpted a crow candy cup intended for a spring palette, but the days flew by, and I am moving into the spectrum of orange and black. So, he is currently in the works and will hopefully post as my first Halloween creation of '09 on eBay next week.... Stay tuned....
For NOW, Happy Easter!!!

10-4-07 Well, we're home now from our road trip journey to California and back to Colorado. "Bittersweet" is all I can think to describe my emotions at this time..... The "sweet" part was the laughter and fun shared with fellow Halloween artist friends and seeing the excitement on the faces of so many cherished collectors.... I have to say that this was my best show by far, and I am still stunned by the crowds of Halloween fans who buzzed about my table and those of the other artists. Thank you for making our visit so special and memorable.
The "bitter" part is coming home to find that one of our dear cats had passed away in her sleep. Pixie, my little free spirit, was only 6 years old and one of my happiest joys. I am in disbelief that she is not here by my side as I type these words.... She would be purring on my lap and aching for pettings and love. Our home feels different now and is missing that special spark of whimsy that she constantly gave off... My tears are trickling down my face as I realize how very precious our pets and loved ones are..... Of course, my loveable Jack the black cat is still here by our side for constant affection, but his sweet sister will be sorely missed. Life is precious, so please go hug and love both the special people and animals in your life. You never know what tomorrow may bring or what and or whom it may take.......

7-19-07 I'm giving a warm thanks to ALL that participated in the Angels for Brianna auction! Together, the artists raised over $18,000! How amazing is that?!!!! Thank you again :)
7-4-07 I will be participating in an auction of Angel related artwork created by many of the top folk and collage artists across the country. The Angels for Brianna auction will begin on Sunday, July 8th at 10:00 a.m. pst, and will conclude on Saturday July 14th at 6:30 pst. Please email your bids to angelsforbrianna@gmail.com.
This auction is being held to honor the memory of a lovely girl named Brianna, whose life was cut short from a disease called MDS. Brianna was diagnosed with MDS in October of 2006, and fought the battle of her life for 8 short months. Unfortunately she lost the battle on June 15th 2007, but her spirit lives on, and she is a reminder to us all to cherish each day that life brings, and to love those closest to us with all of our hearts.
I am proud to be a part of this fabulous event, and I hope you will join us in bidding on an angel or two of your choice, and bidding high to help raise some much needed money for this family, and to honor Brianna’s memory. All of the angel artwork you’ll see is completely handmade by each artist, signed and dated, and will come with a special tag as a reminder of this event. We, as artists, were moved by Brianna’s story and all of us felt compelled to do something to help her family in their time of need, in a way that Brianna would have loved. This is why the auction was formed, and we want her memory to live on, as she does now with the angels above.
Thank you!

7-1-07 Wow! Can you believe it's July! I'm in disbelief! It just feels like yesterday we were shoveling 3 feet of snow from our sidewalks, but now we're sweltering hot here in Colorado with highs reaching 100 degrees! Fewwwww! But never fear, fall is just around the corner, and that means Halloween!.....
In between outdoor parties and BBQs, I've been sculpting and stock-piling Halloween originals for upcoming sales. I'm looking forward to my 4th trip out to California for the exciting and grand Halloween & Vine Folk Art show on September 29th! I'm serious when I say, "don't miss it!"
