Original Sweet Heart Sale...

Hello Dear friends & Happy New Year ~ I know, I know... it's already February!! That said, I'm popping in for a quick post and update. Next week, I will be releasing a handful of original Hearts & Love Bug folk art characters via Newsletter notice. Halloween Original Sneak Peek...

Hi Friends..... It's been a frenzied last few weeks, and now we are so close to this Saturday's Art Walk in the Glens Neighborhood! Thankfully, I have finished a fun medley of originals, and I even took some pretty photos of each :) I am posting a sneak peek of these one of kinds which will be up for adoption at the show on October 1st. I love Robins! These animated characters usher in spring, and always make me smile! In honor of these dear creatures, I was inspired to create my very first robin! I'm partial to this piece, and as it is difficult to place a value on him, I have decided to leave that up to you. If you are interested in this one of a kind robin, please EMAIL ME with your Best Offer. I will be accepting your bids through Thursday this week. On the morning of Thursday April 2nd, I will notify all bidders via email of the highest bid along with the option to place another offer. Candy Corn Butterfly...

The whimsical creatures that always capture my imagination in the summer garden have inspired a fun series of buggy delights in my workshop this year. And as Halloween is one of my most favorite themes, a mirthful mix of the two subjects gave rise to this sweet Candy Corn Butterfly! A first of his kind, this little sweetie has a delicately painted wooden egg cup base, and a removable top sculpted from papier mache. Indeed, he is a one of a kind that promises to delight! He is available tonight via the EHAG Emporium, where you can shop for unique originals from the talented artists of the Eclectic Halloween Artists Guild! The EHAG Emporium opens and updates at 9pm EST on the last day of each month with fresh works available. I finally squeezed in a little time to make something special and participate this month! * And with hand-formed wire wings and curly antennae, this bug is certainly a fun blend of patterns and textures.....

* His orange cap is accented with a hooked hat, trimmed in black glass glitter...

* And a wispy collar adds that final touch!

Holiday Bustle in the Workshop...

Oh my, Oh my! It's November 12th, and my heart beats pitter-patter as the calendar nears the month of December! I have been fully focused on creating my collection of one of a kind, winter delights for my 10th Annual Holiday Folk Art Show & Open House! As JP finish-sands the second round of characters from this year's collection, I am painting the first batch. Lots of snowmen, owls, mice, a few Santas and other characters round out the menagerie. I am anxious to complete these festive fellows so that I can tidy the house, decorate and prepare for the big event! Boxes of my holiday licensed designs will soon be arriving as well, so the juggling act between artist and shop & house-keeper begins. Wish me luck as I will need it. For now, I'm offering a tiny peek at what I am currently working on. This is just a snapshot of my collection. Please join me at our Open House to see all the whimsical delights! UPDATE: Sorry to keep some of you waiting - I woke up with a lovely headache and snoozed a bit. Now, that I am more alert, and checked my emails, I was amazed at the speed of the first "Catcher"! Celeste must have snagged this piece right when I turned my computer off for bedtime, and just 6 minutes into the game! Go Celeste! Many many thanks to the rest of you that came in at a close 2nd, and 3rd and so on... I always appreciate your interest and support!
